The Northern Quarter has quickly become the most popular place to go for a night out with some of Manchester's best independent bars and traditional pubs to be found here. Located around the recently revamped High Street and the 'original Northern Quarter' on Oldham Street, it's just north of both the Arndale Centre and Piccadilly Gardens.

Whilst it has always been famed for it's independent shops selling all sorts of weird and wonderful products from retro clothing, rare vinyl, collectable comics, smoking paraphernalia, unusual furniture and superb art, it is now also famed for its nightlife. There's a whole host of privately owned bars and pubs opening up offering a fine array of foreign beers, local brewed casks, spirts and food.
